Solaris Urbino electric
Jahr: 2015
Ziele/Ideen:
Construction of the emission-free electric bus
Kurzbeschreibung:
Solaris Urbino electric is an exceptionally quiet, emission-free bus, distinguished by its modern design. It guarantees low operation costs. The first version was designed on the basis of the 8.9 low-entry midibus. The fully low-floor 12-metre version uses the Solaris Urbino 12 as a basis, while its drive technology already benefits from experience gained during tests of the shorter model. Solaris offers also articulated electric buses: 18- and 18.75-metre. Solaris Urbino electric differs from its combustion-engined counterparts in several features beyond the drive technology, ranging from its attractive exterior and interior styling to a series of innovative design solutions.
Resultate:
Versions of the Urbino electric have been present in Europe since March this year. So far this eco-friendly Solaris bus has been purchased by Germany (Braunschweig, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Oberhausen), Poland (Warsaw), Sweden (Vasteras), Spain (Barcelona).
Solaris Urbino electric is a perfect choice for inhabitants of a city. Also the natural environment benefits from using it. By putting four new Solaris electric buses an operator reduces CO2 emission for about 260 tones a year. For example to gain a similar effect in Berlin the city would have to electrify at least 250 passenger cars running on Berlin streets every day.
