The project is in its early stages, building on the successful CIVITAS Handshake initiative that collaborated with 13 European cities. So far, we have established a strong foundation by engaging stakeholders and gathering initial data.
Key outcomes to date include:
Stakeholder Network: Established partnerships with municipalities and urban planners.
Data Collection: Compiled preliminary data on cycling infrastructure and usage patterns.
Initial Workshops: Conducted introductory workshops to align goals and share best practices.
Expected quantifiable results and further outcomes:
Increased Cycling Rates: Aiming for a 15% increase in cycling mode share within project cities.
Reduced Emissions: Projected to reduce CO2 emissions by 20% through increased cycling.
Improved Safety: Decrease in cycling-related accidents by 10% through better infrastructure.
Social Value: Enhanced community engagement and quality of life, with more inclusive and accessible public spaces.
