Ziele/Ideen

Education of students of primary and also secondary schools on environmental and also energy and safety effects of traffic and use of renewable energy in transport, promotion of volunteering among young people, devising creative volunteer activities aimed at promoting cycling and hiking.

Kurzbeschreibung

Youth living in the suburbs and small towns are today due to poor public transport options, lack of cycling infrastructure and primarily due to lack of information on how to achieve better personal mobility exposed to isolation, and the unavailability of various cultural, sporting and social facilities. Therefore they have lower possibilities of personal development. In order to change this situation and to work on the increase of youth mobility, to ensure better opportunities for their educational, social and personal development, young people should be informed of the possibilities of using public transport, opportunities to safely ride a bike, and it is necessary to create some prerequisites to name the use of the said easier. Therefore, the project called Alternative
mobility "offers young people information about public transport and the possibilities of combining public transport and bicycles".

Resultate

Increased capacity of civil society organizations to effectively provide information about environmentally friendly and energy-efficient public transport, cycling and walking as well as the use of renewable energy sources in transport;
The establishment of the program of peer-to-peer educators, consisting of young people informing about the environmental, energy and safety effects of traffic and use of renewable energy in transport in primary and secondary schools, with an emphasis on alternative mobility;
Encouraging creative volunteer activities to be carried out by the young people (high school students in the area).
