Develop an integrated internet based application designed to teach non professionals about sustainable transport and empower them to help implement sustainable transport ideas in their cities.

Kurzbeschreibung

GreenCityStreets.com consists of an on-line game, social network and best practices library. The game is intended to teach players about concepts in sustainable transportation. The social network allows people to suggest sustainable transport ideas for their cities (as a social network others can "Like" or comment on the ideas). The best practices library presents more detailed information for those who want to learn more (it's a wiki which allows people to add information and examples of best practices throughout the world).

The prototype application was released in March 2011 and focuses on public transport. If the application is successful additional modules will be created for biking, walking and street design.

Resultate

The application is on-line and people are using it. Unfortunately we lack a sponsor (e.g. a public transport agency or NGO) who could help drive traffic to the site and provide a real user for the application. We are seeking such a sponsor.
